Frequently asked questions

Dear applicant,

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions. If your query is other than this, please send an email to chascentpdt@gmail.com , pgtp@kinpoe.edu.pk.

1. Download application form from http://kinpoe.edu.pk/PGTP/Application-form-pgtp-2010.doc or http://kinpoe.edu.pk/PGTP/Application-form-pgtp-2010.pdf .

2. You are not eligible to apply if your date of birth is before 01-06-1981 even by a single day. Any field experience or govt./semi govt. service background will not make you eligible to apply if you are overage.

3. You are not eligible to apply if you have BCS or MCS degree and have not studied Physics and Mathematics in your BSc level.

4. You are not eligible to apply if you have Master degree in chemistry and have not studied mathematics A course at your BSc level.

5. You are not eligible to apply if you have any third division in your career.

6. You are not eligible to apply if you have not first division in your final (MSc, BS, BCS (4 yrs), MCS, BE, BSc(Engg) etc.) degree.

7. You are not eligible to apply if you have more than one second divisions in your career.

8. The written test paper will be MCQ type, containing 100 questions in all. 40 questions will be general in nature from pure/ physical sciences of inter and BSc level. 60 questions will be from the concerned field of specialization of the applicant. Studying intermediate level physics with concepts and application of intermediate level mathematics will be helpful for your general part of the paper.

9. Only those candidates will be called for interview after they qualify in written test whose final result is declared on or before 01-03-2011. So don't apply if your result is expected later than March 1, 2011.

10. Candidates having 4 years BCS, or MCS with total of 4 years university education in the field of computer science are eligible to apply.

11. You are not eligible to apply if the university from which you have got graduation or post graduation degree is not recognized by HEC.

12. You are not eligible to apply if you are an engineer and can not have registration with Pakistan Engineering Council. You will not be entertained in the interview if you do not have registration with PEC by that time.

13. The written test is will be held on February 06, 2011. The candidates who will qualify in the written test will be called for interview in the end of Feb. 2011.

14. Applications are not accepted through e-mail. Apply through proper procedure as advertised in the news papers.

15. If you have GPA system in your degree, then you must have at least 2.5 GPA on the scale of 4.0, or at least 3.5 on the scale of 5.0, which is considered as minimum score for grade B.

16. If the title of your final degree is other than the ones advertised, you will have to provide equivalence certificate form HEC or PEC (whichever is applicable) otherwise you will not be entertained in the interview.
